Ramon Has Thumb Surgery

Pitt sophomore guard Ronald Ramon underwent thumb surgery earlier this week and is expected to need 6-8 weeks of rehabilitation for the injury, which should make him available right around the start of practice on October 15th. Last season, Ramon missed a game with a shoulder injury and seemed to struggle from the floor after that point. Ramon's ability to be a perimeter threat is a very important aspect to the Pitt team. Here is a brief article from CBS Sportsline on his injury: Ramon Has Thumb Surgery.
